When Czeslaw Michniewicz was appointed as the new manager of Widzew Łódź in November 2010, the team was in the relegation zone with just 15 points in 13 games. Under Michniewicz’s stewardship, Widzew climbed up the table, collecting 28 points in the remaining 17 matches. After failing to agree a new contract with the financially troubled club, Michniewicz left the club to look for new opportunities.
